路加福音-Luke 第 2 章

2:1那些日子，该撒亚古士督出了一道诏谕，叫普天下的人都申报户口。
And in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus for a census to be taken of all the inhabited earth.
2:2这是第一次的户口申报，是在居里扭作叙利亚总督的时候举行的。
This was the first census that took place when Quirinius governed Syria.
2:3众人各归各城，去申报户口。
And all went to be registered, each to his own city.
2:4约瑟也从加利利的拿撒勒城上犹太去，到了大卫的城，名叫伯利恒，因他本是大卫一家一族的人，
And Joseph also went up from Galilee out of the city of Nazareth into Judea, to David's city, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David,
2:5要和许配给他，已有身孕的马利亚，一同申报户口。
To be registered with Mary, who was engaged to him and was pregnant.
2:6他们在那里的时候，马利亚的产期到了，
And while they were there, the days were fulfilled for her to bear,
2:7就生了头胎的儿子，用布包起来，放在马槽里，因为客房里没有为着他们的地方。
And she bore her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger because there was no place for them in the inn.
2:8在同一地区，有牧人露宿在野地里，夜间守更看顾羊群。
And there were shepherds in the same region, spending their nights in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night.
2:9有主的使者站在他们旁边，主的荣耀四面照着他们，牧人就大大惧怕。
And an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they feared greatly.
2:10那天使对他们说，不要惧怕，看哪，我报给你们大喜的好信息，是关乎万民的。
And the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I announce to you good news of great joy, which will be for all the people,
2:11因今天在大卫的城里，为你们生了救主，就是主基督。
Because today a Savior has been born to you in David's city, who is Christ the Lord.
2:12你们要看见一个婴孩，包着布，卧在马槽里，那就是给你们的记号了。
And this will be the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.
2:13忽然有一大队天兵，同那天使赞美神说，
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army, praising God and saying,
2:14在至高之处荣耀归与神，在地上平安临及祂所喜悦的人。
Glory in the highest places to God, and on earth peace among men of His good pleasure.
2:15众天使离开他们往天上去了；牧人彼此说，我们往伯利恒去，看看所发生的事，就是主所指示我们的。
And when the angels departed from them into heaven, the shepherds spoke to one another, Let us go then to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.
2:16他们急忙去了，就寻见马利亚和约瑟，又有那婴孩卧在马槽里。
And they came in haste and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger.
2:17既已看见，就把天使对他们论这孩子的话传开了。
And when they had seen this, they made known the word which was spoken to them concerning this little child.
2:18凡听见的，都希奇牧人对他们所说的。
And all those who heard marveled at the things spoken to them by the shepherds.
2:19马利亚却把这一切的事存在心里，反复思想。
But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.
2:20牧人回去了，因所听见所看见的一切事，正如天使向他们所说的，就荣耀、赞美神。
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things which they had heard and seen, even as it was spoken to them.
2:21满了八天，就给孩子行割礼，并给祂起名叫耶稣，就是祂成胎以前，天使所起的名。
And when eight days were fulfilled to circumcise Him, His name was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.
2:22按摩西律法满了洁净的日子，他们带着孩子上耶路撒冷去，要把祂献与主，
And when the days for their purification according to the law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord
2:23正如主的律法上所记：“凡头生的男子，必称圣归主。”
(Even as it is written in the law of the Lord, "Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord''),
2:24又要照主律法上所说的，献上祭物，就是一对斑鸠或两只雏鸽。
And to give a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord: A pair of turtledoves or two young doves.
2:25看哪，在耶路撒冷有一个人名叫西面，这人既公义又虔诚，素来盼望以色列的安慰，又有圣灵在他身上。
And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. And this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
2:26他受了圣灵的指示，知道自己看见主的基督以前，必不见死。
And it had been divinely communicated to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
2:27他在灵里进入圣殿；耶稣的父母正抱着孩子进来，要照律法的规矩为祂办理。
And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the little child Jesus for them to do according to the custom of the law concerning Him,
2:28西面就把祂接到手臂中，颂赞神说，
He received Him into his arms and blessed God and said,
2:29主人啊，如今照你的话，释放奴仆安然而去吧；
Now You release Your slave, Master, according to Your word, in peace;
2:30因为我的眼睛已经看见你的救恩，
For my eyes have seen Your salvation,
2:31就是你在万民面前所预备的，
Which You have prepared before the face of all the peoples,
2:32是启示外邦人的光，又是你民以色列的荣耀。
A light for revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of Your people Israel.
2:33孩子的父母因这论耶稣的话就希奇。
And His father and mother marveled at the things being spoken about Him.
2:34西面给他们祝福，又对孩子的母亲马利亚说，看哪，这孩子被立，是要叫以色列中许多人跌倒，许多人兴起，又要成为受人反对的标记，
And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary His mother, Behold, this One is appointed for the falling and rising up of many in Israel and for a sign spoken against --
2:35叫许多人心里的意念被揭露出来，你自己的魂也要被刀刺透。
And a sword will pierce through your own soul also -- so that the reasonings of many hearts may be revealed.
2:36又有一位女申言者亚拿，是亚设支派法内力的女儿，已经十分老迈，从作童女出嫁的时候，同丈夫住了七年，
And there was one Anna, a prophetess, a daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was well advanced in years, having lived with her husband seven years from her virginity,
2:37就寡居到八十四岁，并不离开圣殿，禁食祈求，昼夜事奉神。
And she was a widow up to the age of eighty-four, who did not depart from the temple, serving God with fastings and petitions night and day.
2:38那时，她上前来称谢神，将孩子的事对一切盼望耶路撒冷得救赎的人讲说。
And at that very hour she came up and returned thanks to God, and spoke concerning Him to all those waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.
2:39约瑟和马利亚，照主的律法办完了一切的事，就回加利利，到自己的城拿撒勒去了。
And when they had finished all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth.
2:40那孩子渐渐长大，刚强起来，充满智慧，又有神的恩在祂身上。
And the little child grew and became strong, being filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him.
2:41每年到逾越节，祂父母就上耶路撒冷去。
And His parents went year by year to Jerusalem at the Feast of the Passover.
2:42当祂十二岁的时候，他们按着节期的规矩上去。
And when He became twelve years old, they went up according to the custom of the feast.
2:43守满了节日，他们回去的时候，孩童耶稣仍留在耶路撒冷，祂的父母并不知道，
And when they had completed the days, while they were returning, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, and His parents did not know it.
2:44还以为祂在同行的人中间。他们走了一天的路程，就在亲族和熟识的人中找祂，
But supposing that He was in the company, they went a day's journey and sought Him among their relatives and acquaintances.
2:45既找不着，就回耶路撒冷去找祂。
And when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem searching for Him.
2:46过了三天，在殿里找着祂，坐在教师中间，一面听，一面问。
And after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both hearing them and questioning them.
2:47凡听见祂的，都惊奇祂的悟性和应对。
And all those who heard Him were amazed at His understanding and His answers.
2:48祂父母看见，就很惊讶，祂母亲对祂说，孩子，为什么向我们这样行？看哪，你父亲和我多么伤心的在找你。
And when they saw Him, they were astounded; and His mother said to Him, Child, why have You treated us like this? Behold, Your father and I, being greatly distressed, have been seeking You.
2:49耶稣对他们说，你们为什么找我？岂不知我必须以我父的事为念么？
And He said to them, Why is it that you were seeking Me? Did you not know that I must be in the things of My Father?
2:50祂所说的这话，他们并不领悟。
And they did not understand the word which He spoke to them.
2:51祂就同他们下去，回到拿撒勒，并且服从他们。祂母亲把这一切的事，都谨慎的存在心里。
And He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them. And His mother carefully kept all these things in her heart.
2:52耶稣在智慧和身量，并在神与人面前所显明的恩典上，都不断增长。
And Jesus advanced in wisdom and stature and in the grace manifested in Him before God and men.
